two major discussions during today's dev call network architecture: @v presented an outline of the plan for snapchain, a pretty significant departure from the current consensus model which is showing signs of performance issues as the network grows while the proposed data structure is not a "blockchain", the protocol is inching towards questions of governance and security that are inherent to blockchains channels: @dwr.eth gave a sneak peek into the redesign of channels, which are currently not meeting the mark as curated cozy corners. details still pretty sparse, but the major change is that owners/mods will need to explicitly invite users to post in a channel, with the goal of cultivating higher signal and quality

the bit on channels does make sense . next evolution could actually be enabling mods to set certain criteria to enable folks to post in channels - past power badge holder , proof of good posts in the past etc. or may be ask users to stake tokens that get burnt if algo deems it low quality ?
