A few years ago I started reading at least one history book for each world country, alphabetically I started with Afghanistan and got to the Bahamas; learned quite a bit and found very interesting books (like The Fatal Shore about Australia) I'm thinking that I should 1) continue 2) review these?

Do you have any stand out favorites? I'd be interested in any country, but particularly in Spain, Argentina, India, and Nepal.

Nothing on those countries yet - although I can share a few from my To Read list on Goodreads about India (https://www.goodreads.com/review/list/15928142-antimo-mire?shelf=world-history-d-k)

I just finished Shantaram, a novel that follows and Australian convict on the run in Bombay working for the mafia, involved in running guns to Afghanistan during the Soviet-Afghan war. Great read covering many countries in your list.
