Weekend project: replace the battery on my Pokemon Yellow cartridge so it can Save again I had to buy a Gamebit screwdriver, CR2025 batteries and soldering kit (first time soldering anything, wish me luck) All in all cost me less than $50 Made using /nfs gallery action https://frames.neynar.com/f/9bfffc59/63b638e3

Oh fuck yes I never thought this could be done. I racked up over 900 hours on my Pokémon Gold cartridge spending summers at my Oma and Opa’s in Oklahoma. I wore the dead battery as a badge of honor but tbh deep down inside I miss my Pokémon.
