Juicy tip (up to a reasonable limit) to whomever can fairly summarize $farther's launch, historic changes, recent tweaks, and today's capitulation. Not fishing or dishing. Just the facts please. (I don't follow further) Also GM and happy Monday 🍿🌞

Summary as far as I have been able to discern: Creator saw degen hype several months ago, thought he could do better, created Farther, lot of people bought in when the lock amount was worth about $300. People tipped a lot, but it wasn't going the way creator thought it should, so he changed the rules. Then did it again. And again. Then last night, lowest engagement period of the week BTW, posted under the farther account that he was suspending tipping, earned tips will be vested similar to Moxie, and the value tanked even more than it had - it's now down to $10 for that same amount of locked tokens for the allowance. The project will be turned over to a community DAO, etc. Speculation is that he rugged, but I suspect he just got in over his head and it didn't go the way he expected cuz economics is complicated.

It's not a rug and was never likely to be. Giga is a... doxxed American I think? Too much liability. Crypto whelps call everything that hurt them a rug or a scam lol Great summary, thanks. I faded because I don't think Twitter bribes are on-boarding; attracts the wrong crowd for the wrong reason. Glad I did lol 1000 $DEGEN

I say rug because he listened to our complaints (I also have DM's between him and i) he took community votes and then disregarded the vote using his power and acted in his own interest and everybody started cashing out.. now we're here

Oof, that's rough. I saw the post yesterday from him under the farther account - I noticed the timing of it and that was a bit suspect to me cuz I'm a social media native and know that if you want to try to avoid notice, Sunday evening is a good time to post. Gives him until Monday morning to make more moves before most people wake up and realize what's going on. But that also doesn't mean it was intended as a rug from the beginning. Panic makes people do really stupid shit.

Good point, but casting this morning as if nothing happened and removing all father info from his account looks very calculated.

Panic can often make things look calculated to the outsider. Cuz wiping is a bad calculation. So is posting on a Sunday under the farther account instead of his own main, and bypassing any responsibility. They're panicked moves. An actual rug would have come out of nowhere - Farther's been falling for weeks and he's been flailing reactively in public the whole time. Failure doesn't take bad intentions.

I'm an observer. I observe people. And people are far more predictable than they want to believe they are.

Very true. You think it’s as easy to read someone on a social media platform?

Much easier, actually. People are much more guarded and nervous in person, putting on lots of masks. The illusion of invisibility presented by the internet means people are a more honest version of themselves on social media, even when they're trying to present themselves as a brand.
