Last night, one of the patients in the psychiatric intensive care unit where I work told us how, at 16 years old, he first knocked out the man in his girlfriend’s bed with a log. Then he tied him up to keep him from moving and started cutting off his toes with a hacksaw. He explained that the guy was screaming at first but then stopped when he began sawing off his feet, because he was dead. I’m doing fine mentally, i'm working tonight, not even scared 😅
