What’s interesting to me about Partiful is not the Palantir past of the founders but their public insistence that they don’t have fiduciary duties They do! I don’t care what they say, they do! They do in fact have a responsibility to recoup capital. They aren’t a charity. I dislike this so much although I have benefited from it. Over time I think this type of posture makes for irresponsible founders and consumers inured to the idea that they “deserve” free lunches

No what’s enraging is not them itself, it’s the casual ease with which everyone just accepts a certain baseline level of shittiness as part of the game It’s how I know we are cooked Everyone LIKES this stuff Accepting the mandate to cater to zoomer nihilism, admiration for a well-run psyop, everything is a joke and nothing matters as long as the bad behavior doesn’t hit too close to home
