I’m grateful for animals, particularly dogs, cats, and our other pets Eckhart Tolle calls them “guardians of being” — creatures that live less in their mind, and remind us of the other realms of existence If we are to fix this crisis of relationship with Earth (ie. “climate change”), it will require listening to the animals

what animal is your personal guardian of being? we are thinking of getting a dog. mila is 3, we are thinking of our second, and it feels like good timing

i love this “it will require listening to the animals” we humans often get caught up in our own minds and are the last to recognize the damage we’ve caused. animals on the other hand, are the first to feel the impact and show the warning signs. it’s time we start paying attention and acting on them
