Firmly believe that cars peaked in the early 2000's Now, you're just buying a surveillance device with a bunch of unnecessary gadgets built in ("wow everything's computer") And longevity is likely to be worse -- I doubt any of these bargain bin EVs will last 20-30 years

I genuinely enjoy my tesla, it’s fun longevity argument may be true, but it is also true that I haven’t taken my tesla for servicing in 6 years now surveillance doesn’t bother me, gadgets are super useful may be I am just a different audience, but not really sure what an early 2000’s car will give me
