Pachinko is a really good show

Not sure why I haven’t seen more recommendations for it

Just watched s1e7 last night and it captures the 1923 Great Kantō earthquake in a harrowing but beautiful way 

Highly recommend watching

I don’t think people have the emotional energy for heavy tv right now.

Book is arguably better, and takes slightly different narrative. I’d rate book 9/10 and show 8/10.
