Align short-term profit motives with longer term infrastructure development. Folks need to make a living off their work and grow with the protocol.

In practice, it means designing token systems where VCs can only realize their profits after infrastructure is proven sustainable. Lockups that extend until key metrics are met, governance rights that increase with infrastructure usage, or token distributions tied to actual network stability rather than just time.
