I’ll rant more later about how dumb it was to ban incandescent bulbs and embrace LEDs — I suspect many health issues are exacerbated by poor light diets

I agree! I’m visually impaired and those LEDs are vicious on the eye I miss those warm looking lights. Less aura migraine inducing

Technically nothing strictly wrong with LEDs themselves, mostly that truncating the spectrum to just certain wavelengths is bad for you (LEDs give more control and the ability to do that compared to incandescent)

The light source should be full spectrum and ideally emit heat as well — as close to the sun or a fire

The defaults are brighter now than the brights used to be in the past :(

So bright it’s unsafe! And I have bad eyes! 

I feel like people have their brights on all the time nowadays, but I speculate that it’s just the way the lights are making me wonder if they even have a brights option! 🔦

I just bought a Brand new car the other day,

Last night was the first time I had it out at night and I thought "damn, I can see everything with these new headlights"

Now I know why 😂

It literally seems to me that you have to drive with sunglasses to avoid being blinded.

Lmao the other day a Lexus took my x-ray it was that shiny

This is primarily the reason I reduced my driving at nights

I feel this every night I drive out.
