Everything in crypto disappoints me.

I like the technology, but the humans who have the most power over it are terrible human beings, greedy, monopolistic, extractive, elitist, and thirsty for power you name it.

But that's a fact of life, the owner class is parasitic, as it has always been, in crypto it's just a bit more acute than in the rest of economic domains.

But yeah, tech is just a tool that can be used for empowering society, but don't trick yourself into thinking crypto is doing that, it is absolutely not.

I agree most problems come from social involution, not due to lack of technological progress, which at its base is neutral.

We aren't able to eradicate exploitation because of two things, the people who are the biggest offenders actively try to promote exploitation as much as possible, and secondly, most people were educated that exploitation is ok as long as it benefits you, but the reality is that is a zero-sum game where at some point everyone will lose as such a system is imbalanced and prone to partial or full collapse, is just a matter of when not if.
