There is a lot of discussion on Farcaster of getting more people to use Farcaster. I think it’s obvious that you should just invite people to use it. This is how I started using it. You need to target people who actually respect the platform and would take an interest in the community. They should come from all different backgrounds, but also shouldn’t have giant egos. They should be down to earth people who just like to post, share information, and interact. There already seems to be lots of tech people and VCs so there’s not an obvious point in further saturating the platform with this type of individual. There is a big world out there with all diverse types of people looking for a home. I believe its possible to build a community wherever the infrastructure works.

It’s not as easy as inviting people in. I helped a heap of artists get set up in here and most of them have left because their casts were invisible. There are a few factors that led to this for each of them but I would also say you’ve had a very different experience to most.

Yes, very important right now is to invite people whose strong point is words in the English language. Warpcast's algo currently identifies image casts as spam and hides artists, limiting their reach to only their explicit followers.

Really? Then that why I'm like invisible most of the times, but memes still get more engagement usually.

So your experience is that when you post memes you get more engagement compared to when you post art?

Interesting, not sure what is the explanation, maybe the channel makes a difference? I didn't buy fan tokens for /memes maybe I should have LOL. I did buy for /art and for /superrare and those seem to be performing quite well.

I don't have tokens for memes. I haven't tried it superrare, I was thinking it was only for NFTs shared on their platform. Sometimes I share stuff on Art channel. Maybe I should just share more images and less links, but someone say images could penalizing artists in the ranking.

Certain channels are much better for artists engagement, SR is one of them.

💯 I'm liking a lot how /superrare has now a feature for OGs to boost newcomers just by liking their casts or tipping them a little bit. Warpcast on the other hand creates a thick protective bubble around OGs and gives zero or actually negative attention for newcomers, who are left segregated in a tiny corner.

Well, I'm not a new user actually and I had before the famous OG NFT. I've noticed a dramatically dropped engagement compared to the beginning of the year with the same content. I see Warpcast looks pushes more people with many followers, not just OGs with low FID.

Makes sense, I think when they unleashed the AI algos that's when the problem for artists intensified, seems to be around the time you saw a drop in engagement.
