I’ve been thinking a *lot* about /believein. This was originally supposed to be a Higher-aligned grants program for non-crypto writers. It later evolved into a research and discussion group for indies, still repping Higher. For one reason or another, neither of these routes made sense for *me.* My work has evolved a ton since launch, and it was clear that I couldn’t just pigeonhole whatever I was doing into “Higher-alignment.”

I’ve always been interested in Craig Mod’s idea of a personal membership for “unlocking the commons.” In other words: the point of the membership is to support the work of an individual *across the nerwork* — perks are secondary. I think /believein is best suited in that light. I have been and will continue to be doing work across the network: Farcaster, Higher, onchain more broadly. This is a way for folks to support me. It’s also a way for me to make this membership more palatable to a “non-crypto” audience who might not care about Higher or want to be on Warpcast (trust me, giving away free money wasn’t enough for some folks).

Perhaps a Jihad flows grant would be more in alignment?

What I took away is you are looking for the freedom to write and evolve as you see fit, thing against the original inspiration but your growth has you wanting to explore different areas and ideas In that aspect why even, mention secondary benefits, /believein is exactly that people that believe in the network or contributions of another Whether it’s a @superfluid streaming grant or /flows from @rocketman how many people would contribute monthly or yearly to provide grants to write / think / ponder etc

so letting fans open up streams as a form of donations to support jihad's work? how are you thinking it'd work with flows? interesting idea
