Thanks. What do you recommend for first time nonfiction authors? Put ideas out in posts first, then collect into a book to generate interest first? 

I’m at spot where I’m very comfortable with main theses and proofs and structure of book but don’t want to give too much away, but releasing in mini-chapters seems to make sense.

Yes I would say you're going about it exactly right! Share some of the work in smaller pieces so people can get familiar with it and your audience can start to grow. And definitely submit to competitions. You can also pitch articles to publications about topics in your book. You already have the domain expertise, and this can help new people discover you.
