It’s okay not to have all the answers. Growth happens through uncertainty and learning as we go.

Sometimes, the most profound changes come from small, quiet decisions that shift the direction of everything.

Ethereum should follow the steps of Optimism ❤️ Spin out the L1 execution into an L2 and rename it to “ETH Mainnet” with new logo Then educate the world about Ethereum ecosystem Ethereum is not ETH Mainnet Ethereum are all the L2 rollups with ETH as gas https://x.com/optimism/status/1882704487351194083

users care about the certainty of many guarantees offered by blockchains ("you control these funds", "this app can't steal your username"), and decentralization (of different kinds) is part of what makes those guarantees hard https://x.com/ayyyeandy/status/1882705439571534004

I went from not working out at all 2 years ago to slowly ramping up to working out every day now (Pilates + lifting). I know everyone says it but another data point it changed my life. Calmer, better sleep, no more back pain, more confident, led to eating healthier, get sick less

Great article. Also: > Foundry, Alloy, Reth, Revm, Wagmi and Viem Insane list. Best node, best contract dev tools, best SDK for calling contracts and talking to nodes. It's as if, in web world, react and nodejs were both built by a specific VC. https://www.paradigm.xyz/2025/01/ethereum-acceleration-1

Markets gud, price mechanisms gud. Congestion pricing in NYC continues to be winning, just as it has been winning for years in Stockholm, Singapore and elsewhere. When demand > supply, there is always an auction. Either you pay with money, or you pay by waiting in line, with often grievous costs to mental health ( https://nytimes.com/2019/01/21/upshot/stuck-and-stressed-the-health-costs-of-traffic.html ) and to no one's benefit. Blockchain transaction fees are similar: in the dark ages we used to wait some random number of 5-60 minutes for a transaction to get included into a block, and made excuses about how this is a virtuous act of expressing "low time preference". Today, transactions reliably get included in 1-2 slots, and the more efficient fee market design in https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-1559 is a major reason why. Tomorrow, transactions will be included even faster.

we're up to 40%! block gas limits will go up to 36mm when this crosses 50% - it's likely this happens within the next week this means a bit more blockspace for users + apps. once the network has time to digest the Pectra upgrade in March, expect further increases https://x.com/trent_vanepps/status/1879896778809786543
