Need a pair of shoes for my first marathon. I've been running/training on barefoots (Atreyu). Is really the Vaporfly 3 as good as its pricetag?

For your first marathon go for a max cushioning shoes. You’ll regret the carbon plate if you are not used to it. Especially for those long distances. Unless your goal for the marathon is sub180, in that case you are on another level and would benefit from the plate.
