PSA: Blockchains are *NOT* decentralized, immutable, permanent, transparent, verifiable, resilient, democratic or fair, or other misused buzzwords. Sure, they can be a couple of those things depending on the blockchain, but not a fundamental property of blockchains, even if they are these are much better accomplished by non-blockchain P2P/cryptographic systems. This is not "FUD", but to better leverage blockchains we must understand & be educated about its unique properties. Why do you think we get racist ponzis instead of useful apps? I have covered these topics at length over dozens of blog posts. The *only* unique property of blockchains is strict global consensus - a strictly ordered, objective set of txs in real-ish time. While very limited, this property is extremely valuable for extralegal financial transactions. Just had this issue yesterday. Was using OZ’s reentrancy guard in the submodule but the parent used a newer version with a different file structure. Downgrading the parent project to match worked but not ideal

Ppl ignore founder happiness, but it’s a perfectly valid reason for any startup choice. Startups are hard. When founders lose interest, the startup dies. So you gotta optimize for founder fit Pass on great biz ideas that aren’t personally meaningful. Fire A players you don’t get along with. Follow the fun

Crypto was supposed to be programable money but it seems we are stuck on the “hello world” of payments: the ERC20. Streams are a step forward but I think there’s a HUGE unexplored design space here

Prioritization is hard. Between product and outreach there's impact, urgency, what can be stacked so can happen in parallel, there's follow-ups and tasks needed at an unknown future date. Anyone have a good workflow for this?

Gas fees and use-case dependent adoption. I’m considering Celo for a project I’m building since it’s targeting international freelancers for example. Polygon is seeming more promising though for a number of reasons
