Some early computer artworks by new media pioneer Samia Halaby. Halaby began coding what she calls ‘kinetic abstract paintings’ on her Amiga computer in the 1980s. She later developed a program to create these paintings live alongside live musicians. If you’re in London go see her work at Tate Modern!

🔊🔛 light saber audiovisual 🛸 May the 4th be with you ／▼益▼＼ Star Wars sound designer Ben Burtt blended the hum of an old TV picture tube with the buzz of a film projector. He then added a Doppler effect by waving a microphone past the speaker to mimic the weapon’s movement.

I see many talented emerging artists making rookie mistakes careerwise & getting burned, so I wonder if any’d be interested in guidance on getting paid & navigating this wild timeline?
