I experienced heat edema for the first time yesterday during a hike. The temperature was 103°F, and around 4.5 miles into the hike, my fingers swelled up and looked like hotdogs. I was out for about three hours and drank around two liters of water. The swelling went down once I got into the shade and cooled off a bit.

glad you are ok. the heat is brutal. 5am-5:30am runs for me to beat the heat. thankfully, LA will cool off by end of the week.

Heat edema can be scary but is usually reversible with rest and hydration
