That’s interesting. The long term decline was largely young people leaving the evangelical communities over time. I wonder which demographic caused the recent rise? Boomers trying to real quick get in good with god before they die? When will a Jesus chatbot drop? There’s got to be a market for a “talk to jesus” app but I doubt anyone would like what he’d have to say.

Chatgpt denies the rise occurred at all which is interesting. It’s claiming growth among orthodox christianity in young men, and growth in asian evangelicals but overall no rise. But very tellingly, the average age continues to rise. For whatever that’s worth…
