In order for crypto to become the de facto currency for the internet empire, it must be useful to internet citizens in their day-to-day activity on the internet 

That’s the only way crypto-native assets (ie. not synthetics like fiat stables) will be a viable alternative to USD or any coalition efforts like BRICS

I honestly don’t see a medium term path to cryptocurrency (non stable) adoption for daily payments 

Current economies are so very intertwined with nation states and fiat
