bought a tv yesterday, hadn't owned one since 2007 i've got mixed feelings, but the wife thought it's better for the kids who'd been watching stuff on an ipad when we let them admittedly the kids were super excited, which reminded me how fun tv can be for kids what do you think, /parenting? good to have? a mistake?

Good to have. Especially when you watch it together. We have the evening ritual after dinner: 30 min of tv (movies split on 3/4 days or an episode of a docuserie) then 15 min book reading, then go to bed.

We'd been doing ~weekly movies together via projector. But it's a pain for my wife to setup when I'm not around 😅
