what's unberably Europoor is when your paid job—I have none any more for 5 years—has both the SF and European culture at the same at the higher levels but the middle management is so slacker that you are going through a mobbing of cultural shock the entire year.

what drives me crazy is when i see french institutions cosplay as US tech companies by presenting very clearly silicon valley style culture & values without actually implementing any of it
