They are both runners. But they do different sports. 

Would be interesting to see them racing the mile one against the other.

no question farah would destroy this guy as his marathon pb alone is 2:05 (4:46/mile) and pretty sure he's a sub 4 miler as well

1 mile is way too long to compare distance runners and sprinters - a better compromise would be the 400, or possibly the 800 but even that might be too long

i remember reading a long time ago that even usain bolt, who was actually a 400m specialist despite becoming the world's best sprinter, did not like racing past 400m because it made him uncomfortable and that his best 800m was ~2 min flat

I agree that 1500 (or the mile) is too long for a sprinter.

Yeah most people would say 550-600m is the point where elite sprinters vs. elite distance runners would be a good match
