If you self-identify as a reply guy and steal photos from the internet while passing them off as your own people will report you as spam

so interesting to see the cultural differences here both age and culture have a part to play on why this is being looked at in two ways culture as @0xmelanin mentioned posting this type of meme is pretty typical on black twitter and age as younger folk on the internet don’t see it as stealing content they just save what they like from pinterest or tiktok and repost with little repercussion and they also dont see it as catfishing as i notice younger ppls pfps on tiktok are just random images they like and do not own but then i get why its confusing in the context of warpcast cos spammy accounts do post random pictures from google with a chat gpt caption but are they all bots or just experience a different cultural version of the internet and trying to emulate the culture here without english being their first language also not undermining that ofc people are earning moxie through replying to larger accounts, that has a part to play in all this too but interesting to consider all perspectives

when i saw the picture initially, i was like “oh this meme made it to warpcast” just for a few minutes later, i saw another take on it and i was so confused everyone seems to view everything differently, it’s interesting to see

I think there’s definitely a clear distinction between people using translation or ChatGPT to be spammy, vs people using it to create content or engage. Problem is it’s not as easy for an algorithm 😅 But speaking on content theft… without at the very least a credit tag, it is lame and will always be lame 🤷‍♂️ For example, when wonderdynamics was made available… many NFT heads were stealing dope content and overlaying their NFT over it. Some even claimed the content was theirs! (For reference if you go to my X profile, I have a video of myself riding a unicycle with my clone avatar overlayed)

This is such a fantastic take tbh I felt it wasn’t intended to portray itself as an original picture to be passed off honestly. Glad you see it this way tho
