A little unsure how I feel about the approach of having to pay Warps to cast in certain channels.

Especially with warps being a paid thing, rather than an earnable currency.

Would rather see a reputation system be the gatekeeper, than just wealth.

I see both sides: Warps were main tipping token before Degen became wide-spread. So you could earn them by receiving tips. Maybe fading legacy? 

You can't game Warps which makes Warpcast fairly bot-free compared to X. Would be great to white list power-badge users = reputation-based.

I don’t think payment actually stops bots.

As a userbase comes, bots will too.

Bots succeed on paid platforms, because most things being spammed are profit generating ventures, so it’s just an added cost to them.

Humans don’t have the same math.

ah, thanks for sharing this insight. You clearly know a ton more about this than I do. Ultimately, we probably need Attestations or sth. like that to beat the bots. No solution is perfect, but do you think Gitcoin Passport is a good start?
