got the samsonite endure 2-piece set at /costco a couple years ago and i'm still pretty happy with it for longer trips where i'll need more space was also using a swissgear set before that, and while they bags looked nice, i recall not liking that they didn't swivel and could be too bulky due to the compartments

My wheels have been somewhat shot for years with the Swissgear. I would pursue the warranty however the side handle design drives me crazy. By having the handle perpendicular to the body it makes the grip so that you're carrying the bag with your bicep.

If the handle is parallel to the body you can grip the bag using your whole arm. Great idea on checking /costco too!

Your /costco rec @ahn.eth gave me the idea to search Samsonite. I found this 3.7 lb hard shell!
