Are walnuts "healthier" than peanuts? Most evenings I make a chia see pudding with some type of milk, ideally a local fruit, and a type of nut. My thinking is walnuts are healthier because they're higher in healthy fat and lower in carbs. https://search.brave.com/search?q=Are+walnuts+healthier+than+peanuts%3F&source=web&summary=1&conversation=ce7f6864ae8cd3e5640546

Macadamia's have the highest percent of healthy fat which is great. They're very expensive though in most places. I'll have to move to Hawaii or wait for the supercycle. I like walnuts because of their balance between higher than most nuts healthy fat and not as expensive as macadamias and pecans usually.

South Africa & China also produce quite a lot of them. If you don't get macadamias you should at the least "activate" walnuts and other not so gut friendly nuts..

That's a fun fact about South Africa and China. I didn't know that! I've heard about this about soaking | activating a number of times now over the past 10 years so finally doing a quick search. I'd be open to testing it out if there's evidence of it's benefit. I'm not sure that there's clinical evidence though. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32199146/

I would be open to changing my mind and I guess that article seems to indicate that soaking might not lessen phycitic acid as much as expected. In that case I would really suggest not going nuts with nuts every day
