Respectfully, as a professional writer who has adapted multiple stories from my life into books and TV shows, how on God’s green Earth do you think you’re filling 4 separate subscribed chats with quality content?

Its not only about dropping bangers into a chat though, is it? Feel like the whole point is to engage in conversation, which doesn't always involve heavy curation. No disrespect meant by this. Just speaking to one of my favorite parts of having so many subscribed chats. Plenty to talk about and read.

there's also the support mechanism - if the tool builds and adds to the creator's economy then it makes sense to support a few folks even if you're not going to read or engage

Yeah, I like this take. I don't interact with people for tips, sometimes feel bad when they do it because I think they feel obligated. I just liked their whole vibe. But at the same time its a really clever mechanism to promote the abundance mindset and gives people a quick and easy to way to express joy and support.

Both points fair, private access is definitely a selling point for some. I was focused only on distributing art to patrons but obv there’s more to it. I’d argue against support as a direct value prop only bc money straight to the artist will always be more effective.
