There are people who have an extraordinary vision, and can express it from a deeply informed perspective, easily toggling from details to big pictures and back. They often make declarative statements about what something is or will be, with certainty. 

There are also people who juggle a universe of simulations in their minds, some cartoonish, others xeroxed, all mostly incomplete and undifferentiated. They often hedge, qualify, or contextualize their statements in a field of possibility and uncertainty. 

In an increasingly complex and chaotic world, it’s not clear which of these characters is more performant.
