facts, with the exception of channels like /itookaphoto which flourishes without speculation I think someone can make a good argument that optimizing for more speculation eyeballs may convert to broader culture, but I’m not sold I think it only makes fc more inaccessible and esoteric

Culture has a mind of its own. You may not be able to change it, but you can create a space for it to change, which to my mind FC/WC does and has done. The question is… does capturing every aspect of crypto culture enable escape velocity to mainstream? I think not.
