I think the UN might be a more apt simile, if for no other reason than that it holds fewer negative connotations. There are members with outsized influence, like the EF, Optimism, Coinbase, Uniswap, and Aave teams. Also, like the UN, there are separate (market) forces at play, as well as other social coordinations wholly separate from the Ethereum community, that also impact it. But ultimately, it is through consensus—social, protocol logic, economic—that the ecosystem progresses.
What I want to know is what alternative model is being proposed for Ethereum or other projects, are their examples of this working, and is this comparison the reason for this thought experiment or is it just a shitpost? 0 reply
