Seems more like a "you just got drained" notification, unless you're super fast. Something better would be if your seed phrase gets entered in another wallet, your account locks, and you have to use a secondary wallet to confirm. Like the "Was this you?" flows.

No way to know this till the theft transaction shows up onchain... "When you have a problem, remove the problem." ERC-4337 lets you create accounts with no seed phrase. Passkeys and yubikeys allow robust backup with much less potential for rugs.

For years I've used seed phrases in multiple wallets. Never seen anything like this. Looks like a drainer

Think not. Also seems like a prime target for phishing (if you expect a legit one of these could ever be sent to you, then scam ones would be sent all the time?)

interesting idea...i think the only way for this to work is if your wallet (or some external services) is listening for signatures on the blockchain that aren't originating from the wallet you have designated. i think this might be possible with an off-chain 3rd party service that is integrated into the wallet

what about a "your wallet was just accessed from a new device, do you confirm?"

If its the same type of wallet (i.e. Metamask, Rainbow, etc) it wouldnt be hard. They all send data back to their servers so just send a hash of the seed phrase every time it gets entered. Harder between different wallet providers

Main problem with this is you’d have to have shared your seed phrase with a 3rd party already…

Would that kind of message display on every device you have your seed on, or a specific device?

It would be handy for other reasons too, but hard to implement x-chain
