don’t solve the wrong problem. the 5 why’s is a secret weapon for product design. start with a clear problem (a user frustration, decreased KPI, etc) and ask “why?” for every answer, ask “why?” again until you reach the root cause. it’s awkward, uncomfortable, and necessary.
