šŸŒ¶ļø The problem here isnā€™t that Highlights and Following tabs are in the wrong order, itā€™s that there are basically no good posters on Farcaster. Scrolling through Whatā€™s Hot on Bluesky should be a wake up call to get more non-builders casting

100%. Finding good posters is difficult here. Im spending more time on the search filters than on the suggested feeds. And i started muting bots that post often but uninteresting things. Getting a quality feed seems like it will take some work. Need more posters AND more ways to find interesting ones.

Actual question. Why would that be true? If im a new user starting from scratch. Why should i need to build up more than 100 follows to start finding content. A follow is something that should happen after you discover interesting new content, not as a prerequisite.

idk, tbh, but I just mass followed ppl blindly and my feed is pretty good. I think others had the same observation, or not?

Wondering if that is something in the protocol design of farcaster. Where you need to have a large bumber of follows to be sent content. Would have some implications for how to onboard users.

I think it has to do with the active user base being tiny. Check farcaster.network, I think itā€˜s only 100 ppl that have > 100 casts. We are small but I think we bond a lot. Might be that we havenā€˜t even crossed Dunbarā€˜s number šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«
