One thing I still can't wrap my head around with the new channel meta is "at time of cast, how do I find a channel"

I'm excited (and anxious) about upcoming changes to channel meta, but fear non-cozy channels -- specifically about how channel selection will work when composing a cast.

• Will there be an easy way to find and browse channels I'm a member of at the time of composition?
• Can I see my membership status in channels at that time?
• What happens if I attempt to cast in a channel I'm not a member of? Will my content be saved or pending approval?  Or is it lost
• Will I need to get back into the habit of copying my cast to clipboard before sending (like I used to do when Warpcast crashed a lot)

I already try to spend time on my content*; I don't want to have to spend more time on mechanics of casting than the cast itself.

* I realize replies don't have this problem, so maybe there's intent to get reactions and replies rather than top-level casts?

The channel picker will still be available in the cast composer. 

It will only show channels you're a member of. So should be more useful than the current one.

1 feed. All casts from members. Reverse chronological.

If someone is casting too much, remove them from the channel.

Will there still be recent casts in channels or it’s all narrowed down to main feed now

What options are there to make channels pseudo-public? (i.e., grant free memberships)

Owner can add / remove mods.

Correct. We will likely clean up ghost hosts by the end of the year.

Host technically don’t have to take any action for Warpcast moderated channels. Anyone who’s made it to main recently is automatically a member and zero action is needed by the host unless they want to override this, remove people, or change onboarding?

Aka ghosts hosts won’t affect a channel from working and the system will auto promote casters from main feed to members?

Yes, since if someone is spammy in your channel you can just remove them.

so spam will not be effective in channels, only outside channels

Okay this statement in the screenshot, does that mean it's only Moderator that has majority of the power to keep users in the channel when the change happens? What of if you have engagement from the actual creator of the channel, would the terms still apply?

In /design we had automod set up to curate hypersub members + PB holders

But going forward we'll want to change to hypersub only 

Will hyperbot remove non-members? cc @nonlinear.eth

For non gated channels, is the main value of being a member that you can write in addition to read?

Will someone get notified when they are promoted to a member from a follower role?

The “show more” filter will not be effective outside channel, if I cast on my wall without a Channel and a person I don’t follow or who isn’t following respond it won’t be under “show more”

There is no formal UX. Channels are curated by their mods.

People can choose to use a frame to make it easier to join.

what's the UX for a user who wants to join a channel they're not a member of? From the API endpoints it looks like users can choose to follow but what about becoming a member if you meet the criteria?

2. Click "join channel"
3. Mod bot checks if you can join and then assigns role?
