Network tab is now searchable while signed out. When you sign in, though, the results automatically overlay your farcaster mutuals

New feature: web of trust employment verifications Left a company without verifying your email address with LinkedIn? Before tonight, if you wanted to prove you worked there, you were SOL. Not anymore Now anyone with the verification can verify prior colleagues, using icebreaker Attestations are interoperable & preserve provenance

Looking through our old notes from April '23... Verifiable credentials, onchain witnessing, stealth addressing, and the ability to issue them via what is now zkTLS seemed like they'd become cheap and widespread We asked ourselves: what could we build if we assume these primitives will exist? Fundamentally, data that previously has been closed becomes open. Enabling new applications that no longer have to worry about the data bootstrapping problem Thanks to @witness /opacity /eas /fluidkey /privy and others, these primitives are here, and the builders who have been patiently awaiting crypto's fabled non-speculative applications are taking notice

“The rise of [AI] presents less of a financial risk, but as much a personal danger to the rest of us.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/09/12/taylor-swift-endorsement-harris-ai-trump/ There’s a name for a tool that uses cryptography to break AI: Icebreaker https://paragraph.xyz/@icebreakerlabs/icebreaker-behind-the-name

80% of the results on Amazon are ads This is the problem with letting content platforms use their own algorithms Imagine going to the grocery store where you can only be led around by a personal shopper and buy from the items they point out. No thank you. Going to build a different system.

One of the most powerful ideas from crypto is the retroactive airdrop ie where every single one of your users or potential users is known and can be reached with incentives or offers. What if we could extend that to the entirety of all people, places, and things on the internet?

Building /icebreaker with @j4ck.eth, an open professional hypernetwork where you meet exceptional people. This week we shipped: - All attestations witnessed onchains (9 chains and counting) - "Worked directly with" endorsements now display bidirectionally - Farcaster followers and mutuals now display in network results and on profile pages (see pic) - Dynamic lookups for pseudonym addresses when displaying attestations The last one lets you attest to a web2 user and then that user can "claim" their attestation retroactively after verifying they own that identity. E.g., I attest to my former boss at Google based on his linkedin handle. He can log in with Icebreaker 1 year from now and that attestation will automatically display on his profile once he verifies his linkedin. Sort of like venmo's sending $$ to an unknown phone number (except this is self-sovereign even if Icebreaker disappears). Or, for crypto people, this is sorta CREATE2 for social handles.

Why attest on only one chain when you can attest on all the chains? New /witness x /eas integration is live. All attestations made with Icebreaker are now onchain verifiable on 9 EVM chains Built in temporal generalization and private data support. https://easscan.org/offchain/attestation/view/0x90bdea88ff136e491a088c1872e42ff00f62833b601b56182395bfea43a3ddab

Was watching EAS and saw a former colleague sign up in realtime and begin attesting to other former colleagues at Google on /icebreaker He's a superb technical writer but don't think he knows anything about crypto, so that's pretty cool seeing him make interoperable / cryptographically verifiable endorsements. https://easscan.org/offchain/attestation/view/0xf060d4f41af0e6a9ff788f578ae7b9f181a65038778ef6c194c94fc467a86fb2 https://app.icebreaker.xyz/credentials/Worked%20directly%20with?show=receivers&givers=cm0l7qkoi061ge39nzxaun3zx

Spent 6 hrs at the dmv yesterday they wanted the paper original lien release no photocopies accepted and couldn’t look up data from another state Great example where cryptographically verifiable attestations should be used Better for the environment too

Had a lot of fun with this podcast with @jbrukh @j4ck.eth and Alex Felix on why we're building Icebreaker and how interoperability is at the heart of our vision. A number of spicy takes. If you strongly agree or disagree, would love to hear! https://x.com/coinfund_io/status/1829213617876525446

Anyone have a reliable and API to pull twitter bio, pfp, display name, etc? Ideally includes provenance, e.g., lets us show that the data was obtained without violating any ToS. I would like to auto display all this data when you view on icebreaker E.g., https://x.com/iamlizendary -> icebreaker.xyz/iamlizendary.x

Ephemeral merkle trees for attesting to lists of things Can then prove later that A was a member of the list without having to reveal the other members Wonder how this compares to other approaches
