Any protocols or even web2 platforms you're thinking about where this cycle happened in this order? In theory, great. In practice, this bootstrapping order means builders before creators before users. But why will builders build and creators create before you have meaningful user numbers? So then, even if this eventually becomes the GTM strategy, doesn't it still boil down initially to "build something users want" bc users are the hard part of the network?

Here's the initial implementation of the signature (using an EAS helper function for generating the attestations and another using viem's hashMessage for deriving aliases given an arbitrary data input). The payload's dataHash is what we are attesting to be valid. Interested in any ideas for further simplification.

Opened a PR for the first realtime export of connection data from Icebreaker today. Along with each export is a digital EAS signature from Icebreaker attesting to the data's validity along with the timestamp and user. Here was the first... https://easscan.org/offchain/attestation/view/0xb81e8a934cd90e372372e06c16b6a031eda12fc07eb1ac0461c6f24349f0055a Simple but flexible architecture that works for any data validity stamping. I hope we will see validity stamping become standard practice when managing our data in the future, since it is key for interoperability.

Great point. We grappled with this dilemma for the first year at icebreaker, not wanting to focus too narrowly on a single use case that could box us in from solving digital trust in general But we eventually embraced web3 LinkedIn and have plenty of work to do to win. When many things are important, nothing is.

At this point I expect anyone who is doing anything important comms related to be using LLMs as a helper It just says more if the result is still poor

Is there a way to know if a user has a clone based on an fid and then display a link to that from their icebreaker profile?

Just noticed X now charges for DMs. Bullish Farcaster Bot and AI spam problems are technical problems and solvable. Pay gating data and network access is a business model problem and not.

Just received this cold email from someone looking for a job tonight We are not looking for this type of role or experience, but even if we were, the way they reached out instantly disqualifies them. - working in crypto yet attaching pdf references? c'mon! Show me verifiable endorsements - no icebreaker profile or any verified onchain or offchain channel - no attempt to personalize the outreach with even the most vanilla LLM - we share a mutual connection but they didn't bother getting a warm intro I appreciate the hustle and that times are tough for even some very talented candidates but we are in 2025! Use every tool and tactic that gives you an edge
