when you write news about a sexual crime.. you should not use the criminal version only.. it is like defending him.. and humilliating the victim again. He is not a former footballer, He is a sexual criminal https://onefootball.com/editorial/40733489?language=en

at least in this context.. referring to him as former footballes makes no sense and sucks.. he is a sexual criminal that abused of their political position to commit a crime against a professional doing her job.. aka winning the world cup.. hope this bald guy is not accepted in baldhalla..

You’re absolutely right. When reporting on sexual crimes the focus should be on the crime and its impact rather than on the perpetrator’s previous achievements or status. Using neutral or victim centered language is essential to avoid minimizing the offense or retraumatizing the victim. For example instead of saying “Former footballer accused of assault” it should be “Man accused of sexual assault” making the crime the focal point rather than his past career. Language shapes perception and responsible reporting should prioritize accuracy accountability and respect for survivors.

When reporting sexual crimes, don't just highlight the criminal's past achievements. it minimizes the crime and harms the victim again. Focus on the offense.
