OK, let’s do some bounties to show the power of decentralized social media. First task: $100 in ETH for a command line script that downloads the full Farcaster social graph and renders it in networkx. This can’t be done on Twitter without API key as the backend isn’t open — unlike Farcaster! @bountybot

@balajis.eth I will submit a public Github repo by EOD today to claim the bounty. Anyone will be able to run vs public endpoints. It takes some time to process though. Here's a sample graph-- > python3 process.py generating graph for 50 fids graph has 3133 nodes and 7958 edges clustering coefficient: 0.43

going to look into this tonight! probably possible by creating an instance of the hub replicator & having networkx import data from the replicator's postgres db directly https://github.com/farcasterxyz/hub-monorepo/tree/main/apps/replicator

cosmograph may be better when the graph gets larger, it layouts and renders it on gpu, so it can go up to a few million nodes

I’m sure someone will beat me to the full thing but learned some stuff so figured I’d share if someone wants to run with it. started working on some rendition of this request. Graph gets REAL busy REAL fast. Used Cosmograph, only did first 1000 fids and limited each to 2k followers.
