How long do sprains take to heal to the extent that you donโ€™t feel them any longer? A long fucking time. I fought a car at ETH Denver and earned a sprained wrist. I gave the PT very high, consistent daily attention for 5 months. I had ~90% range of motion back by 3 months. Itโ€™s now 8 months and itโ€™s the first time Iโ€™ve been able to hold a handstand fully waited without pain, still at about 97% on recovery. No alcohol, great sleep and diet, no processed sugar, well hydrated, 8 months to < 100% Without attention and discipline, a simple sprain can become a lifelong injury

I was going about 25mph on my skateboard down a hill and a car took a not so sneaky right turn without looking. I saw it coming so i wasnโ€™t blindsided or that likely would have gone worse

Okay the speed is a lil bit better might not get any worse atm So you need to keep massaging it lil by lil till you get little or no pain Get pain killers would help a lot Or if you could get a quick xray scan and a feedback would help

I appreciate the support, please donโ€™t recommend to people to take pain killers, ever. This includes all NSAIDs. They have no beneficial value in the best case and are all downside in the average case. My post was about how long it takes to get to a recovered point while doing it all as correctly as possible.

Ncbi has a bunch of good research on the mechanisms of concern over nsaids. Pain killers are probably one of the worst inventions of humanity imo. Theyโ€™re completely unnecessary 99.99% of the time but they get prescribed for literally anything and everything, whatโ€™s worse, is they all prevent your body from healing as it is designed to do. The only valid use case for a painkiller is when sleep is impossible, not hard but impossible, and only because you get more recovery in sleep.

Fr Now a days any lil thing you get they just hand you a pain killer I would like to talk to WHO bout this but before then I would get my facts right and check out NCBI. The body is good at healing So the more the pain killer the more it kills the ability for the body to heal on its own, am I right ?

Yeah thatโ€™s exactly right, your bodyโ€™s incredible recovery systems get taken offline by all these absurd bandaid solutions ๐Ÿ’Š we have in modern medicine. We have a habit of believing our discomfort is the most import thing to solve for, I find that rarely to be the case.
