I like the idea of eight sleep and their design, but it seems insanely overpriced. 

$3k for a mattress cover? And you also have to pay a monthly subscription to use the app?

Does the thing heat up your room to cool down your bed? I used a competitor that was much cheaper in the past and my room temp went up significantly

No, barely emits any heat or noise, bed gets and stays very cold and automatically adjusts temp throughout the night, also works individually on each side of the bed so that my girlfriend and I can set independent temps for our preferences
