Why? I try to do the opposite Quote casting feels like it’s just making it about you rather than having a conversation

I think it depends on context but historically i've replied a lot and quoted very little and recently i've started quoting some more. 2 main cases for quoting are (1.) adding to my own cast (wouldn't be conversational either way), and (2.) if someone's cast/reply prompts a thought I feel merits a top level cast.

I think it's generally about amplifying the message vs diving deeper primarily with folks already in the convo

I’ll qc when the op gives me an adjacent thought. A reply like that often feels out of place and a qc is sort of a new vector.
