Reagan did this post-Carter, crash it the first 18 months so he could catch the upswing for reelection ... It was costly though (crushed in the mid-terms, and Trump has no reelection to run (er, hopefully? maybe?) so I don't get the logic.

Don't remember a more brutal market since being in crypto since 2016.  

Maybe 2018 / early 19, but you at least knew it was coming post ICO pop.

I think at this point, our best hope is a full fledge recession with lower inflation, met by a return of QE. Short of that, idk.
