I’ve had to turn on notifications for a long folks. I started Farcaster on US time, then spent months in Japan, then came back to the U.S. The algo doesn’t realize that I don’t interact with my friends post immediately sometimes because I’m sleeping and the posts are “stale” but they are new to me even if they are 8-10 hours old. I may be an edge case. But now I rarely see my Japan friends like @renstern.eth because we are on different time zones.

Same, I used to see much more Japanese in my feed and follow a decent number of Japanese users. @payao comes to mind.
