They told me MBAs weren’t useful but nobody knows I’m ~50% done with an MBA and every class I took this semester ended up being directly relevant to work I did this week

the big reason why people in tech are anti-MBA is because they believe you can learn more by doing things on the job or as a founder since you’re already blazing your own trail, i’m curious: 1. why did you decide to do an MBA? 2. what classes have you enjoyed most? 3. do you feel connected to your MBA peers?

I think you *can* learn it all as a founder, but you’re probably going to take an inefficient path to most knowledge. 1. I didn’t feel like I had a solid business education nor did I have strong mentorship early in my career. I didn’t know what “great” looked like. 2. Marketing classes mostly — stuff directly relevant to work I’m doing that I can implement immediately. 3. Not at all, but I don’t really make an effort to. Not enough time in the day 😅
