Feels like we are seeing a second rise of communist and socialist ideas

Part of this can be explained by increasing aptitude of the Chinese to evangelize their model. But most of it just seems like a reaction to purported capitalist excess. Perhaps capitalism did sow the seeds of its own destruction per Marx. https://i.imgur.com/yV46XXA.jpg

Never mind the social media parasite they engineered and ensured the scummiest (as well as pro communist sentiment) content propagated freely throughout all of the Western society user base while ensuring their own native user base only gets content that maximizes health and well-being. Probably nothing.

Totally plausible TikTok was weaponized. But I don’t think the blame lies entirely on China. IMO a good chunk of the addiction lies in an excessively permissive system that drives us down to our basest desires. Instagram & Snap were already doing this, I think TikTok just did it better.

Yeah, better and for the worse, sadly.. I’ve been trying to figure out the answer but it’s certainly so far beyond my pay grade. I do not like the future I can see down this rabbit hole where absolutely nothing is done about this whole situation..
