Sometimes I wish the ethos of Farcaster were way more connected to the reality of crypto, which in the USA is currently quite tumultuous and volatile, rather than always exhibiting the rah-rah happy go-lucky disposition of the founders / tech optimists that congregate here, which can be tiresome and disingenuous.

How would that concretely manifest?

IMO more tactical/realistic discussion around crypto applications that are obviously useful to everyone (not just crypto natives), and how these can be leveraged to guide both public discourse and policy.

The ideas exist, but their implementations do not, IMO

If the ideas for crypto apps on Farcaster are obviously useful to everyone, what’s your theory for why virtually nobody uses them?

I was referring to Farcaster itself as an example of an app built on crypto that can be useful to everyone (in time). The harsh reality as to why most people don't use crypto apps (beyond investment) is the apps don't solve problems in 10x ways. https://danromero.org/significantly-worse-or-non-existent.html
