Sometimes I wish the ethos of Farcaster were way more connected to the reality of crypto, which in the USA is currently quite tumultuous and volatile, rather than always exhibiting the rah-rah happy go-lucky disposition of the founders / tech optimists that congregate here, which can be tiresome and disingenuous.

IMO more tactical/realistic discussion around crypto applications that are obviously useful to everyone (not just crypto natives), and how these can be leveraged to guide both public discourse and policy.

fwiw, the revealed preference from most crypto people is they don't care about that much about the new stuff vs. size of their audience on Twitter, including most folks at Coinbase :)
