IMO - embedded wallets are great for onboarding new users onchain. If your app targets a wide audience and doesn't emphasize that it's a crypto app, they are a great fit.

Smart wallets are great for interoperability across DApps, DeFi, and other  crypto paradigms. For crypto veterans, smart wallet is best-in-class.

what’s the right way to think about embedded wallet vs smart wallet? when should you use which?

do you know which one they're using? or did they roll their own?
